NON SURGICAL FACIAL AESTHEIC TREATMENTS
The vertical frown lines or Glabellar lines which often look like the number ”11” are formed by repeated contraction of the muscles between the eyebrows. As the skin becomes less elastic with age, deep wrinkles may be evident between the eyebrows even at rest. Treatment with toxins will relax the muscles and improve or eliminate the appearance of the wrinkles. Similarily ” crows feet” or horizontal forehead lines may also be treated to give the face a smoother and younger appearance.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin which provides elasticity and reliance. With age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases leading to static lines and folds- these lines are not due to muscle movement but are present even when the face is still. Dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid plump up the skin and replace lost volume.
Dermal fillers are best used to
- Smooth lines around the nose and mouth
- Enhance the size and shape of the lips
- Fill out the cheeks
- Treat laughter lines and crows feet
Over time lips can lose volume and become thinner. The cupids bow and outline of the mouth become less well defined and wrinkles and fine lines can compromise the smooth appearance of the lips. The corners of the lips may turn downwards creating a tired, aged appearance. Dermal fillers can reduce the signs of aging by restoring volume, defining and lifting the outline of the lips and filling lines caused by smoking and aging.
At Coco Beauty & Skincare we use the Juvederm range of dermal fillers which have been extensively researched and tested. For more information visit http://www.juvedermultra.co.uk/
